SSRCx Hires Heather Langford as LEED Project Assistant

SSRCx has hired Heather Langford as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) project assistant in the firm’s Nashville office.

Langford will work closely with project facilitators to achieve LEED project requirements by researching sustainable design practices, collecting information needed for calculations and analyzing project data. Prior to joining SSRCx, Langford served as a consultant for environmental nonprofits in Nashville and was director of education and training for the Casey Trees Endowment in Washington, D.C.

Currently, Langford is second vice president of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council and a senior fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program Southeast Regional Network. She is also a member of the Nashville Metro Tree Advisory Committee and the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Cornell University and her master’s degree in environmental studies from Yale University.
