NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Paul McCown, PE, CEM, LEED® AP, CxA, a project manager for SSRCx, LLC, has been elected to serve on the 2007 board of directors for the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC).

McCown is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has expertise in the commissioning of HVAC systems and energy conservation analysis concerning energy management and system efficiency.  He also works as a sustainability consultant for commercial construction projects.   He is a past board member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The TEC advocates the protection of Tennessee’s environment and public health.  Founded in 1970, the nonprofit organization has fought to protect the Great Smoky Mountains and the Pigeon River.  It has been successful in reducing pollution from TVA’s coal-fired power plants and has prevented the degradation of high-quality streams and the Rumbling Falls Cave system.
