Whether or not you decide to seek LEED or Energy Star certification for your building, our experts provide the services to help you achieve, verify and document performance of existing facility systems and reduce performance decay.
The process starts with a feasibility study to determine what´s currently being done, what´s possible related to LEED´s prerequisites and your sustainability goals, and what´s not possible due to building or budget constraints.
LEED Existing Buildings: Through engagement and collaboration with your team, we streamline the application and certification process for LEED Existing Buildings. We also educate and empower your team, giving them ownership of the sustainable aspects so they can successfully integrate those into the normal course of building operations and maintenance.
ASHRAE Audit: An ASHRAE Audit is the starting point for both the LEED for Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance certification and Retro-Commissioning, but it does not capture the return on investment. We provide ASHRAE Energy Audits per the organization´s guide titled, "Procedures for Commercial Building Energy Audits." Levels include: Preliminary Energy Use Analysis; Level I Walk-Through Analysis; Level II Energy Survey and Analysis; and Level III Detailed Analysis of Capital-Intensive Modifications.
Retro-Commissioning: Retro-commissioning or Continuous Commissioning® is appropriate for buildings that have not been commissioned, or even one that has, and can help minimize excessive equipment repair and replacement. It can also improve comfort, indoor air quality and reduce energy costs. If LEED-EB O&M is a goal, retro-commissioning or Continuous Commissioning® can contribute up to 15 percent of the total points needed for certification.
