LEED Facilitation/Consulting

Have confidence that your building was designed, constructed and commissioned for efficient use and environmentally friendly practices.

The LEED-certification process is more than checking requirements off a list. It also involves collaborating with and educating the owner, architects, contractors and engineers about sustainable design practices appropriate for their project. To meet our clients' needs, we offer four approaches: Comprehensive LEED Facilitation, LEED Consulting Services, LEED MEP Assistance and General Contractor Consulting.

A LEED feasibility study is the first step for any of these approaches.

Comprehensive LEED Facilitation: SSRCx takes an active role in performing essential functions and coordinating the LEED requirements for a successful and expedited submission process. We work with the design team through design-assistance meetings, specification support and construction documentation and submittal reviews during construction. SSRCx provides LEED-specific training to the contractor, LEED material selection support, and performs site visits during construction to monitor the LEED requirements. We also establish a timeline and submission goals, so the project team knows what to expect and when.

LEED Consulting Services: In this role, SSRCx supports the project's LEED champion. We monitor the LEED process and consult for the project team on the LEED requirements, but the project team is responsible for all calculations, LEED action plan documentation preparation, design and construction phase coordination, and monitoring and LEED online administration.

LEED MEP Assistance: SSRCx reviews project design and construction documents, completes the LEED online templates and produces required supporting documentation for the credits identified as achievable by the project team.

LEED Consulting to the General Contractor: This approach includes construction phase LEED coordination, calculations and templates, and LEED Online administration. The construction phase includes developing plans for waste management, indoor air quality and building flush out, submitting and supporting LEED materials, contractor training and site visits.
